The short version

Kumohime is a demo. Talk to her and your messages are sent to an AI model to write a reply and to a voice service to speak it. Your conversation is stored for 30 days so she can remember what you were talking about, then deleted automatically. So the site owner can see what visitors ask, each question is also recorded with a short label of the page you asked it from. If you tell her your name or the city you’re in, she remembers those so she can greet you when you come back. There are no accounts, no advertising, and nothing is sold.

What’s collected

• Your messages and her replies. Kept so she has a memory of the conversation — without it she re-introduces herself every reply and can’t answer follow-ups. Please don’t type anything sensitive into a chat widget on a demo site.
• What’s on the page you’re viewing. So she can answer about what you’re actually looking at, each message includes the page and the on-screen text currently in view. That full on-screen text is sent to the AI for that reply only and is not stored. A short label of the page (its title and address) is kept alongside your question, so the site owner can see what visitors ask and which pages they ask from.
• Your name and city, if you tell her. If you say your name or where you’re from, she keeps them so she can greet you and answer “do you know my name?” on your next visit. They’re tied to your browser’s session, not to a real-world identity, and don’t leave the processors below.
• A session id. Generated in your browser and kept there so your messages tie together into one conversation and she recognizes you when you come back. It isn’t an account, isn’t linked to your real identity, and isn’t shared.
• Your email, only if you type it into the waitlist form.

What isn’t

• No accounts and no passwords. The only thing resembling a profile is the name or city you choose to tell her, tied to a browser session, never to a real-world identity.
• Nothing here is tied to a login. (For a brand that puts one of these avatars on its own site, memory can be tied to that site’s login so the avatar recognizes a signed-in customer across devices. That is not done on kumohime.ai.)
• No advertising or tracking cookies, and no ad networks.
• Your IP address is used in memory to rate-limit abuse and is not written to the database alongside your conversation.
• Nothing is sold or shared with anyone beyond the processors below.

Who else sees a message

To answer you, a message has to travel. These are everyone it reaches:

• Anthropic — writes her reply.
• ElevenLabs — turns that reply into her voice.
• Neon — hosts the database the conversation is stored in.
• Vercel — hosts this site and its servers.

If you use the microphone, speech-to-text happens in your browser — that audio is never uploaded.

How long it’s kept

Your conversation, the recorded questions, and any name or city she remembered are all deleted automatically 30 days later. That’s enforced by a scheduled job, not by anyone remembering to run one.

Removing your conversation

Email hello@kumokodo.ai and we’ll delete it. Conversations aren’t linked to your identity, so it helps to include roughly when you spoke to her and what about — otherwise we can’t tell which conversation is yours. If you’d rather not wait, everything is deleted on its own within 30 days.
